A bug out bag, also known as a “bail-out” bag, is a pack filled with emergency supplies to help you survive independently for up to 72 hours if a crisis happens. The idea is that after 72 hours, help will be on the way. Bug out gear was first used by military aviators who needed tools, rations, and supplies in a bag that they could quite literally bail out of aircraft with. Now, they’re used by survivalists and preppers.
No matter what situation you face, food and water are essential. Be prepared for a variety of weather with sturdy clothing and sun protectants. On that note, stay warm and dry while sleeping with a sleeping bag. Bring a firestarter, flashlight, batteries, and tape. As always, basic first aid needs to be included.
The basic rule is blend in. Depending where you live, people may carry different styles of bags, but colors like black, dark green, and brown tend to be perfect colors for that.

Out the gate seems a little spendy but the setup is ready to go out of the box. Components are all great quality. Would guess assembling everything would cost much more and not be the same caliber. Customer service was bar none and overall really like the value of this insurance. It's a great kit!

I have been in the market for a bug out bag for a while and came across Eco-Sigma bags and I am happy I did. I began looking at building my own, but to compile the things that this bag comes with would have been laborious and very time consuming. This bag has it all. I would and have recommended this product to my close friends and many of the other products on this site. Solid, well designed, and outfitted. I will be likely buying another for my wife soon.
