If any one has tried doing a lot of work with a folding knife it becomes clear pretty quick that most were never designed for putting a lot of pressure on the handle for long periods. Its just not very comfortable. Enter the fixed blade knife with a stouter blade and a comfortable rounded handle. This one is light and a near perfect size to fit in a back pack. It won't give you a Rambo look but is very functional. Mine came with a sheath that included a front pocket that is large enough for a sharpening stone or any one of the other SOG knifes that are on this web page will fit so you can keep all together. I put the SOG escape in it so I have all together. It also has a real Molle snap so it fits on the pack for easy access. Mine is on the right front with the SOG axe on the left on the get home pack.
