Our Get Home Bag is a smaller version of our Bug Out Bag and lasts up to 72 hours. The idea is that within 72 hours, help will be on the way. The Bug Out Bag provides added resources including additional food and water, radio, tools, and a sleeping bag. This type of emergency bag was initially used by military aviators who needed tools, rations, and supplies in a bag they could literally bail out of an aircraft with. Nowadays, they are used by survivalists and people who need to be ready for natural disasters.
Regardless of your situation, certain essentials should always be included. These essentials includefood and water, sturdy clothing to prepare for various weather conditions, sun protectants, a sleeping bag to stay warm and dry, a firestarter, aflashlight, batteries, and tape.
